What up people?!?!!..Well its time for an update. I have so much on my mind and I'm stressing out on a lot of things. I would love a hammock with a margarita in hand and admiring the ocean view right in front of me! Ahhhh! ☀ that would be so relaxing and breathe taking!
Let me fill you up with the latest info I got. The follow up appointment I had with my oncologist went well. He started me on tamoxifen which I will take for 5 years. It is to treat breast cancer. There is so much side affects to this drug -_- He told me to eat more healthy and exercise ( this will be hard & I love Wendy's) also to reduce the stress and he suggests NOT to get pregnant for the next 5 to 6 years and if I do get pregnant I am putting myself on a high risk for that darn cancer to come back and we don't want that. It has something to do with my estrogen. Hmm maybe it's time we get a new member of the family... meaning a puppy! I also met with my pivot nurse Isabelle and social worker Jillian..they are both so wonderful and helpful. I had my other appointment with the radiation oncologist on the same day and I was told I still need to have radiation after recovery because of the spread to the lymph node that I had.
The surgery is scheduled on April 17th I've made a wise choice to remove my breasts. Yep bye bye boobies! I'm trying to keep my mind focused on the fact that this is a great thing that I'm doing. I'm reducing my risk so greatly of ever being diagnosed with breast cancer. Having to go through this surgery and reconstruction has to be better than me potentially going through cancer treatment later in life. It is far more important to be here for my 2 children and family. I have a meeting with Dr.Flieszer before the surgery to discuss all the details and sign some paper work so I will have more information to post later.
Right now i'm Working on finishing laundry, and preparing the house for me to come home to after surgery. The only thing is I won't be able to cook for a few weeks.. It would be great if people brought us meals but it sucks both our families are distance away.. Bummer :( The last few days have been crazy busy. I feel like there is so much to do. Titus has been so awesome and helpful! I am very thankful for him. I don't know what I would do without him. He will be taking 3 weeks off work to help me out during my recovery and that is without pay. He used up all his holidays during my chemo days. I don't know how we can manage but I hope it all works out! I know and trust that God will provide for our needs!
As always its a pleasure to share this journey with you all. In many ways it's a huge part of my healing process. Writing about my emotions or my experiences really helps me to get a handle on it myself : )
Time for some relaxation. I will end the day with a nice hot bubble bath with scented candles and Fifty Shades Of Grey.
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!
