Hey readers,
I've been pretty quiet lately, partially because I needed to get caught on stuff here at home. October is a bad month for me. I had severe pain i couldn't even walk. I was immediately admitted at RVH. At the E.R I was given morphine for pain. I had an x-ray done & it showed there was space in my joint meaning there was fluid. A tap of the fluid was the only way to figure out what was going on. A long needle extracted 1 cc of infectious fluids. Immediately they started me on antibiotics before it destroyed my hip, etc. I have 4 weeks of IV treatment through a PICC line. Yes it's pain for sure but I am lucky :-) My treatments got delayed for a week because blood counts were low & Doc wanted me to recover for all the exhaustion I had from everything. This Wednesday I start my first dose of taxol and Doc says it will knock the last few eyebrows right off. I noticed that they have really thinned already including my eyelashes. I can handle it! ; )
I'm so thankful for family & friends.. I have looked deep into the fear of a black hole that could have swallowed me and might yet, but as far as I can tell I'm going to leap across to the other side. It is so much easier to be positive right now! So keep sending me those happy thoughts and rainbows, because you are all the ones getting me through. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
