July 25,2012 is when I began the first treatment plan and on July 26,2013 was the LAST treatment to make sure it is out of my body! The 30th of 30 radiation treatments follows the six months of chemo-hell and the 2 surgeries lumpectomy with lymph node removal and bilateral mastectomy that got the tumor out! Words cant describe how happy I am to say that I completed my treatments. It's been the hardest year of my life but it's only made me stronger. No matter what life throws at you..Say to yourself, "bring it on" and FIGHT!" Keep going and don't ever give up. If you fall off track, don't beat yourself up...pick yourself up and move forward. I am So glad the treatment phase is done with, its a huge relief for me, now it is just regular check-ups and continuing with the Tamoxifen (for five years.) I had a rough week because of adverse side effects to my radiation therapy — peeling, redness, soreness, fatigue, etc. I took it hard mentally, psychically & emotionally. I hope I heal quickly.
Thank you again for all of your encouragement and prayers. Thank you for being a part of my journey. I thank you God for giving me the strength & most of all to LIVE & LOVE abundantly! It's hard to believe that it was a year ago that I was going through hell and now here I am on the other side ready to put it behind me. Here’s to the official start of life after cancer treatments…Peace! Love! Cure! And heres to kicking cancer in the Butt! :) CHEERS! Let the new chapter begin..Woot woot!! Heres are some quotes I think sum up any battle against cancer:
-What the enemy uses to hurt you, God uses to Prosper you"
-When you're going through Hell...Keep going!"
